The House met yesterday at 2.30. The Speaker laid on the. table the report of the work of the session. The members present then proceeded to the Upper Chamber, where Parliament was prorogued.

It is reported .that -Colonel Whitmore intends to resign-his seat in the Council and proceed to England on a lengthened visit. The Governor leaves on Saturday en route for England.
