(from our own correspondent.) AUCKLAND. This Day. The s.s. Australia with the 'Frisco mail arrived yesterday. A fire broke out shortly after 12 o'clock last night at the Auckland Oil Company's Works, and was got under before considerable damage was done to the building and the stock of copra. David Moore, steward of the Southern Cross steamer, received the Humane Society's Mectal for gallantry in saving life at 7 the wreck of the barque Schiehallion, at the Isle of Wight. .'I \ ■■■"
