Within a period of three weeks, the steamers have brought to Gisborne the following articles of produce .— Butter, bacon^ cheese, fruit, flour, hams, lard, oats, potatoes. • Bbaeicault's drama, " The MyingScud," was recently produced at the 3?heatre Royal, Melbourne. The Herald says :— •/The characters which occasioned :the greatest delight among the audience were the horses of the recently . killed and captured desperadoes, Byrne and Ned Kelly. As horses, there, is nothing remarkable about these brutes, but their recent proprietorship made them objects of curiosity and wonder. Ned Kelly's -horse is the most likely of the two. It is a strong, nuggety dark bay ; Byrne's a tall ' heavy chestnut, with white points arid star in its forehead, and clipped oh the near shoulder. At their appearance the crowd yelled with delight."
