> '.; Jmday. •.-.•' News has been received from the ELyeburn diggings of the murder of an elderly lady, named Young. She lived by herself in a hut near the Chinese. Qn Wednesday morning her place was bi'bken into by bursting in the door with stones. The Chinaman "who worked for her was the, first to give the alarm. She was then able, to speak and when neighbors came in.j she was understood to say that some, other Chinamen did it. She died on Wednesday afternoon. Robbery was .the object, as she was known to be^ealwiy and the place was ransacked^, bu& unsuccessfully as. siribe her death* .£l,OOO in deposit receipts and £4$ in cash was found concealed in the kitchen.
