WELLINGTON.
This Day. The Mayor has written to the Minister of Public Works, stating a number of men would shortly be thrown out of work through the Corporation works being completed. The Minister replied that the Government would do what it could, but hoped the corporation would not fail to push on such works as would afford relief.
