About a year and a half ago Eugene O'Keefe, of Jamestown N.Y., opened a clothing store ot Millerstown, Butler County, Pa. He made a little money, and, investing it in an oil well, rapidly increased hia capital until he was worth according to the local estimate, 20,000d0l or 25,000 dols. Last fall he was prostrated with a disease of the lungs, and being single and having no relatives in the place, suffered for a time for lack of proper care. Miss Mary E. Logan, who kept a restaurant near O'Keefe's office where he was lying sick, hearing that he had insufficient nursing, offered her services, and under her care he grew rapidly better, and was finally able to get about. He concluded to go South for a thrae, hoping to recover his health Before going away, however, he made a will, which was properly signed and witnessed, he placed in a sealed envelope, with directions to Father Quilter, its custodian, to open it in the presence of his lawyer, in case they received word that he was dead. The other day news was received from Dallis, Texas, that Mr. O'Keefe had* died in that place. The will has been opened. All the property, real and personal, of the deceased man is unconditionally bequeathed to to Miss Logan. The estate consists of 18,000 barrels of oil, the oil well, and other property amounting to 25,000 dols.

" The court orders you to conclude,' said a judge to a tedious lawyer. v Very well, your honor, then I conclude that the court shall listen .-to me."
