EXAMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS. fpHE Board of the Education District | of Hawke's Bay offers for competition TWO SCHOLARSHIPS in Class B, and ONE in Clas O, each of the annual' value of £30, and tenable for two years. The examination will take place on July 5. Regulations. The examination in Class B is open to boys and girls attending the District Schools of Hawke's Bay, who are under 13 years of age on the 10th June next Class C is open to boys and girla attendingeither public or private schools In the Hawke's Bay Education District, who are under 14 years of age on the 10th June next. Candidates for a scholarship must obtain 25 per cent, of the marks given for each subject, and at least 50 per cent, of the total marks obtainable to become entitled to any claim whatever for a scholarship. The holders of scholarships as a condition of receiving payment must satisfy the Board of Education that they have been regular in their attendance at school, and that their conduct and progress have been satisfactory.
