[from our own correspondent.] LONDON. May 24. In the House of Commons to-day a motion refusing Bradlaugh's claim for esemption from taking the oath was negatived. The matter was referred to a "Select Committee. May 25. At the wool sales to-day, 9,300 bales were offered. The tone of the sale was rather weaker. Sir William Vernon Harcourt, Home Secretary, who was defeated for Oxford, has been elected for Derby in place of Mr. Plinssoll, resigned.
