[from our own correspondent.] NAPIER. This Day. Shaw, late Eate Collector, was brought up at the KM. Court, yesterday, charged with embezzlement, and remanded. The charge of arson against him was then proceeded with, but not concluded when the Court adjourned in the evening. The case was remanded till next Tuesday. The examination of the wheels of the engine of another goods train that had previously passed showed by marks of blood and brains that that must have been the engine that killed the man, who has since been identified as one James Bacon.
