No entries shall be received except upon this condition — that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. Any person entering a protest shall deposit the sum of £5 with the Stewards, and such protest proving frivolous, the amount shall be forfeited to the Racing funds. Three Horses to start for each Race, or only half the added money will be given. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be fined £1. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles and Birthday Handicap, must be sent in to the Secretary, at the Masonic Hotel, Gißborne, not later than 8 p.m. on Monday, May 10ih, 1880, enclosing entrance money, name and age of the Horse. Night of Acceptance and General Entries at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborm?, Monday* May 17th, notlaler than 8 p.m. The Handicap will be posted at the Masonic Hotel, on Wednesday, Maj 39th, at 12 o'clock.
