AUCKLAND.
This Day. Three women named Ann Hogan, Mary Hogan, and Mary Welsh, were committed for trial yesterday for the of £I's from the Crown Hotel. News has been received here that before the departure of the mail from London, a prospectus was issued of an association to settle the Piako lands under the title of the " Waikato Land Association." The directors are Thomas Russell, Sir James Fergusson, and Mr. Mundella.' Ninety thousand acres are to be sold to the Company for £300,000.
