WAERENGA-A-HIKA JOCKEY CLUB.
At a committee meeting held on Monday, there were present, Messrs Spence, Jackson, McKenzie, Hastings, and Anderson. Mr. Anderson in the chair. The Secretary read the balance-sheet, showing a balance in hands of club to be £22 6a ; outstanding accounts not paid, £1 18s. The balance, aa read, was adopted. A letter was read from the Poverty Bay Turf Club, concerning the disqualifications at their late meeting. After discussion, it was decided that the matter stand over as Mr. Hastings was an interested party, and there was no quorum without him. The Secretary tendered his resignation which was accepted. The committee voted £5 to the secretary for his services, and authorised Mr. Colebrook to pay the outstanding accounts. A vote of thanks was moved to the Chairman and carried iiem con. A general meeting was called for at 8 o'clock, but being so few present, it was adjourned sine die.
