[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MELBOURNE. Saturday. The Victorian Racing Club adopted a resolution in favor of procuring legislation for rendering the totalisator lawful. It is announced that a further sum of £100,000, is required for the Exhibition. An order of the Executive Council has been issued providing for the free importation of oats, intended for conversion into oatmeal for export. Archdeacon Innes has died from diptheria caught at a picnic. Eleven others who "were at the same picnic, are now all ill with diptheria.
