This Day. At the District Court yesterday, D. Cruickshanks, for fraudulent bankruptcy, received 9 months, imprisonment. William Tait, for indecent assault one year and 25 lashes. Harvest operations retarded by the wet weather, which is seriously affecting crops. Montague Mosely,th« anti-Chiniquy lecturer, wps arrested here on Thursday night, on a charge of obtaining money on false pretences at Christchurch, to which place he was remanded yesterday.
