It was currently reported here to-day that the Governor has received a cable message from England to the effect that relations between England and Russia are in a critical state, and that war between the two countries is imminent, and that the situations will be decided in a few days. The rumour necessarily requires confirmation. The proprietors of the Sydney livening News have been ordered to show cause why they Bhould not be committed for contempt ot Court for again publishing the proceedings of the Court which they were interdicted from publishing. MELBOURNE. Friday. The trial of the directors of the Provincial and Suburban Bank concluded to-day. Hackett, Scott, Morquad, and Taree were fined £50 each, and Willis £250.
