Sudden Death.

We have to rec<»rd the painfully sudden (death of Mr. James Forster, late cook lat the Argyll Hotel. It appears that he was proceeding along Peel-street this morning, at about 10 o'clock, carrying a ismall bag, the contents of which would certainly not have weighed more than 20lbs. When opposite the shop of Messrs. Meredith and Sherrat, he was observed by the latter to drop the bag, and after staggering for a moment, to fall heavily to the ground. Mr. Sherrat immediately rushed out of the shop, with the view of assisting the unfortunate man to rise. Before approaching him, however, he noticed that a copious flow of blond was issuing from his month and nostrils. Mr. Sherrat quick ly caught him up in his arms, asking him at the same time what was the matter, to which the dying man faintly articulated, "I don't know." He was then withont delay, conveyed to an outhouse on the piemises, and expired almost instantaneously thereafter, before medical assistance arrived, or even before the messenger had time to reach the residence of Dr. Pollen. On arriving a few minutes later, Dr. Pollen pronounced life to be extinct. The deceased it is conjectured met with his death through a suffusion of blood in the lungs, caused through the bursting of a blood vessel. He was, we are informed, about 45 ye**rs of at'G, and a temparate man ; but was 1 frequently complaining of an ailment. He leaves a widow and one child ; the former of whom was, inconsiderately enough summoned to the painful scene 1 by some indiscreet person, arid appeared inconsolable in her grief. An inquest on the body was held this afternoon, at the British Empire Hotel, before 0. WhitefooH, Esq., Coroner. Mr. William Miller was chosen foreman of the jury. The evidence adduced went to shew that the deceased had been previously ailing, and his lungs were much diseased. The jury returned a verdict of " Died from disease of the heart." J
