Ohbistchttrch, Saturday. Business during the week has been very quiet, and transactions have been few ami small. The weather continues favarable fur growing grain. Wheat remains at 4* 1(M to ss, the millers being the principal buyers. Oats are without the slightest change, and even at the low prices ruling the business done is very limited. Barley also is unaltered. In potatoes th re has been considerable fluctuation; the market was rather bare at the beginning of the week, and prices touched £6, but within the last day or two a few large lot 9 came forward, an>» rates receded to £5. Flour remains at £12 to £13. Dairy produce is m good supply, butter ranging at from 7d to 8d ; cheese. 54d to 6d ; hams and bacon, 9£d to lOd. Dunedin, Saturday. Wheat, 4s Id to ss ; fowls' wheat, 3s 9d to 4s; milling wheat, firm at present Slices ; oats, seed, Is lOd to2a ; mill inn o, 2a to 2s 2d, barley, 5a to 5s 6d ; feed do. 3s to 33 6d ; potatoes, £5 15s to £5 ss, according to quality ; kidney seed potatoes, £6 ; round white potatoes, £5 to £5 10s: hay, £4; chaff, £4 to £5 ss; straw, L 2 5s ; bran, L 5 5s ; pollard, L 5 10s ; flour, large sacks, Lll 10s ; onions, 20s ; cheese, 8d ; bacon, rolled, B£<i ; prime fat beef, 28s to 30s per lbs. ; mutton, If dto 2£d per lb. Napier, Saturday. Messrs Hoadley and Lyon report a full attendance of the trade at their weekly wool and sheepskin sale when 444 skins. 2 bales pieces, 1 bale locks, 1 cask tallow, and 6 hides, were catalogued, and all sold. The quality of sheepskins was not so good as usual. Prices as follows : — Sheepskins — Merino : good, ssd, s§d, s|l, and 6d per lb ; medium, 4&d to 4£d ; pelts, Id. Longwool : good, 4|<l, sd, s&d, and s§d ; medium, 3J, 3{jfd, 3|d, and 4Jd ; inferior. Id, 2d, 2id, and 2|d ; 1 bale locks, 2J ; 2 bales pieces, 4£d ; 1 cask tallow, 2cl.
