Although it has not usually been our custom to notice the Standard's leading articles, considering, as we do, that they have not as a general rule, been entitled to serious criticism ; we must, however, referring to a local appearing m the Standard of to-day's date, ask our readers to c»npare the local with the Standard's leading article m to-day's issue. We must however express our strong disapprobation of (he blow hot and blow cold manner m which the Standard has criticised the action taken by our member, relative to the Native Lawsuits Bill. Although we do not m all things agree with his political opinions, yet we must confess that his efforts will be used towards benefiting the constituency he represents m the General Assembly of New Zealand..
