He won the first prize m 1869 as a yearling, beating two-year-old horses. In 1871, as three-year-old, he also carried off the first prize against aged horses. In 1872 he carried off the second prize, being beaten only by President, one of the three newly-imported horses. In 1875 he t«ok the Silver Cup for the best DRAUGHT ENTIRE at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Show. Terms : Single mares, £3 3s. ; two or more the property of the same owner, as per agreement. Groom's fee, 2s. 6d. All care taken, but no responsibility. Tregeagle was a first-class performer on the English turf, and is without doubt as well bred as any horse m the world. In spite of few opportunities with thoroughbred mares, he is the sire of Tubal Cain, Impudence (winner of the Adelaide Cup), Tolarno, Levant, Device, Superstition, Doctor, and Talisker, while from inferior mares he has got such performers as Landadowne (winner '*>f .the V.R.C. Steeplechase), Encounter, Middleton, &c. Terms : £3 10s single mares ; a reduction made for two or more mares the property of the one owner. Groomage, ss. "DISRAEL£" gained the second prize at the Christchurch and Rangiora Shows fc a two-year-old. At*the Annual Parade of Entires at I Chrfntchurch, Mr. Wallis' Pride of Scot- ; land and Sir Walter Scott and Mr. R. Wilkin's Bill Fail Play, attracted the majority of Visitors. "DISRAELI" is a splendid sample of the mach admired and appreciated Clydesdale stock, both m Australia and should be sought after and patronised by owners of mares m Poverty Bay.
