At a, meeting of the Bifies, held after the inspection, it was resolved that the corps disband. As the band have f<mnd tit to secede from their ranks, it has been found difficult t» replace the number so as to enable then) to curry o % i, th* regulations laying down; that the minimum strengtli shall he 50 of all ranks. Proposals were nude by some of. the members to tnimfer to the ranks of the Battery, and Battery Instructor F«at.on attended the meetin<r on behalf of that corps to settle prelimin-iries. The following conditions were submitted to intending transfers, vi 2 : — 1. Standard heiirhfc,. sft. 7in. 2 Material will be supplied for uniforms, makinvf up,. to be paid by transfer. A refund of 42s is guaranteed upon rece'pt. of two years capitation. 3 The accruinvr capitation will go to the funds of the Artillery corps to pay for uniform. 4. Transfers must guarantee to make themselves efficient, m the (rue sense of the word, by attending weekly drills and all monthly inspections, v lless prevented by illness or any other good cause. 5. Members not making themselves efficient,, and having received clothing, will have to .refund the amount of o*p\tation to the Artillery corps. : These cmditions have been so far relaxed m favor of members of the Rifles who haVH hitherto shown interest m their drill, and have been most regular m their attendance :— l. That the standard height, shall not He enforced. 2.
