,In the House of Representatives, after the return from the Council, Sir George Grey brought in ' the Imbecile Passengers Billy which was read a tirst time.
Saunders gave notice to ask the Government whether certain telegrams from Colonel Whit more to Henry Ingles, suggesting that he should contest the Cheviot election against Sounders, and promising that his claim, if successful or not successful, would be considered, was franked as a telegram on public service, or was paid for as a private telegram.
The Premier gave notice to introduce a Triennial Parliaments Bill, Alienation of Mori Lauds Bill, Representation of People iii Parli.ment Bill, and a Bill to suspend plurality of voting in cases of elections f .>r local bodies.
Mr Dick gave notice to ask if the Government would introduce a Bill for suppression of plays tending to immorality. . .
Mr Murray gave notice to ask if the Government intended to re-impose u duty on timber and fluur.
Mr Audrowß gave notice that* he would move on the -following day, tbe Address in Reply to the Governor's Speedi. The House then adjourned.
