As a Yearling, in Australia, he took 2nd prize at Ballarat, 2nd at Smeaton, and Ist at My.rnion. As a two-year-old, he took 2nd prize at the Grand National at Melbourne, Ist at Ballarat, 2nd at the Grand National at Smeaton, Ist at Myrniong, Ist at Melton as best entire of any age, and Ist for best two-year-old colt. In 1876, at the . Hawke's Bay Show, he took Ist prize in his class ; also, the Champion Prize and fifty guinea Chip as the Best Entire in the yard. In 1877 and 1878 he again took Ist prize and the Champion Prizes at the Hawke's Bay Show. Fee, £5 10s. A reduction made on two or more mares the property ' of one owner.
