THE MAORI BLOCK VOTE.
[To the Editor of. the Herald.] Sir, — I am unable to attend the meeting in the Masonic Hall to-night on account of a Native meeting which we are holding. I did desire to be present in person, to say that although Mr McDonald and myself have personally been at variance, yet as I am determined to support his party, I sink all personal differences and plump for him. The whole of the Native electors havo resolved to block vote for him, in order to strengthen the present Ministry, who I feel assured have the good of both races at heart. — I am &c., Wi Pere.
