Grain Market.

• Auckland August 9. The market for bread stuffs remains unchanged. Holders are indisposed to accept below- our quotations, inasmuch as the markets elsewhere are much stronger than our own, and to replace stocks at the present moment would be difficult m order to secure a profit at the present ruling here. Local millers oontinue busy, and superfine flour is commanding £14 10s, and household £12 10s, while Southern, of known brands, varies from £11 10s to £12 10s. Oata are still heavily Btocked, and there ia no change m the price to record. Maize is. somewhat difficult to quote, and the importation of Fijian is beyond precedent, aud comes m so unexpectedly, that it demoralises the market. A large parcel of the latter was offered this morning by i v ;tion, and a small line was sold at 2s and 6d, the rest being withdrawn.
