CORRESPONDENCE.
♦ . . [We do not hold, ourselves responsible for opinions expressed by correspondents.] [To the Editor of the Hkkald.] Sir, — I see m last night's Herald, that Mr. Allan McDonald oflfers himself for a member of Parliament for the East Coast. Only last week a parting dinner was given to Mr. McDonald on his leaving the district for England. Has the dissolution of the House of Representatives caused Mr. McDonald to change his miiid ? Does he, think the electors are so blind to .return him as their member m order that Mr. McDonald may go to " Auld Scotland" and flash M.H.IU For this is just all the good w,e should get from Mr. McDonald. Electors give no man your pledge or vote until -we see who are coming out. Remember, if we are to return a member for our long-neglected district, we must all pull together and vote for one man. We have no votes to throw away. Then If say wait and let us hold Council together before we commit ourselves to any member. Now is a chance to try our own mettle to see if we have the sense to wait together for one common cause; I am, &c., A Voter.
