Parliamentary Gossip.

WELLINGTON. This Day. OPPOSITION CAUCUS. The Opposition held a caucus yesterday, when it was finally resolved to move an insertion of a clause in the address, expressing a want of confidence in the present Ministry, and asking his Excellency to call other adviser* to his counsel. This was done in the House last'night by Sir William Fox. As Mr. Goldie declined to second the addresß, Mr. Reeves did so, speaking only a few words in'a very loud voice. Mr. Shanks who moved the address made a short and tame speech. LOAN BILL. Yesterday Mr. Macandrew had an interview with Sir William Fox on the subject of a Loan Bill. The result being a pledge from Sir William Fox that the Opposition would not oppose the immediate passing of the Bill. It is also stated that the Governor is now willing to assent to the Bill, without waiting for a reply to his speech. .
