AUCKLAND.
This Day. A difference has arisen at Cambridge between the Ngatihawa and Ngatihirangi tribes out of the adjudication of the late Native- Land Court m regard to a block of land containing 21,000 acres. The Ngatihawa expected the lion's share, and were awarded only 1400 acres, the balance being given to the Ngatihirangi. Sixty of the disappointed tribe have taken possession of the land, are building a pah (but not a fighting pah ), and defy the successful rivals to take possession.
