COMMERCIAL.
Bourke & Smith report that at their sale of cattle yesterday at Makaraka yards, there was a good attendance of buyers, and fair prices were realised for all lots sold. They quote :— Dairy cows (good), £7 16s to £11 ; heifers (springers), £6 to £9 15s ; yearling steers, £5 ss ; dry cows, £4 to £6 ; calves (good), £8 6s.
