ORANGE ANNIVERSARY.
The members of the Loyal Orange Lodge, Star of Gisborne, in oummemration of Her Majesty's Birthday, assembled in the Lodge-room on Saturday, to a banquet admirably provided by Host Wilson, of the Argyll Hotel- In the absence of the W.M,, the chair was occupied by Bro. M. McLeod, D.M., and the vice-chair by Bro. 0. D. Pitt. After the viands had been satisfactorily discussed the following toasts were proposed and drunk with enthusiasm. The "Queen, " proposed by the Chairman. "His Excellency the Governor, Sir Hercules Robinson," by Bro. 0. D. Pitt. "The pious glorious and immortal memory of King William 111, " by Bro. M. Boland. "The Orange Institution," coupled with the name of Bro. Ratcliffe, hon secretary by the Chairman. Drunk with musical honors and responded to by Bro. Ratcliffe. "The Press," proposed by Bro: Pitt, and responded to by Bro. H. McKay of the Herald, "The Ladies" oroposed by the Chairman, and responded to by Bro. Ratcliffe.
