Every keeper of an Abattoir or Slaughter-house in New Zealand '. { . . shall keep, a boqjc, in which he shall ■ enter a description, of all cattle ' • slaughtered in such Abattoir or Slaughter-house, specifying the .' color, marks, brands, sex, and apparent age of such cattle, and, if purchased, containing the name of .-, . the person from whom, the same shall have been' so purchased, and : „ the date of slaughter.
