A CORRECTION.
To the Editor of the Evening Hkrauj. Sib, — I perceive in your paper of yesterday a statement by a correspondent to the effect that nothing has been setfchd by Mr. Rees, not even the Wliataupoko block,, a further statement that no committees are appointed in the trust deeds. Perhaps you will kindly give me. space to say that these statements are false. The whole of the deeds effecting the settlement, from the trust deed downwards, have been signed, sealed, and delivered, and are registered. I am personally interested, and therefore have a right to know. I have every reason to believe that - all parties are thoroughly satisfied, much more so apparently than your " esteemed .cprrespondent," who seems exceedingly discontented and .exercised in spirit, about native titles. Further, as regards the trust deed, the Committee is set out in the deed,' and your correspondent is wrong again. I would strongly recommend him to restrict his attention to his own affairs, or if he will dabble ! in the affairs of others, at least let his accounts be true. — I am, «fcc, Allan McDonald.
