The tax to be levied within the Hawke's Bay Land Tax District ia estimated to produce a reveii tie of about £8000. The valuations will have, of course, to be submitted to the head departmental Wellington, and then objection may be made through the Assessment Courts, but neither process, we imagine, will alter to any great extent the undermentioned figures. Estimating the produce of the revenue from the land tax m the district to be about £cOOO, the several Counties and Boroughs comprised within it will contribute the following amonnts : —
