A very interesting paper has been read before the Colonial Institute by Sir Arthur Gordon, on Fiji. The Due De Granimont, Lord Granville, Sir Michael Hicka-Beach, Lord Cardwell, and Lord Melbourne, all commended Sir Arthur Gordon's eneriry in Fiji. Sir Michael Hicks- Beach inferred Sir Arthur Gordon would not return there.
