FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

To the Editor of the Evening Herald. Sir, — At the last meeting of Court William Gladstone, A.0.F., I was requested by the Brethren of that Court to contradict a statement that appeared in the Herald a few days back in reference to supposed arrangements being made by Friendly Societies re procuring a fresh Medical Officer for this District, and as far as the Foresters are concerned to state that they are taking no such steps, being quite satisfied with their present doctor. — I am, &c, B. Sherriff, Secretary, Court Win. Gladstone.
