LONDON.
February 26. The Victorian Embassy have been received with the utmost courtesy. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach said that the subject was one of great importance, and requiring very grave deliberation, and it was desirable that the Embassy should again see him before the matter was submitted to the Imperial Cabinet. Mr. Berry was spokesman for the Embassy. He expresses great satisfaction with the interview. Arrangements are being made te hold an exhibition at Madras next year. Wheat and tallow unchanged. Flour, sixpence higher. At the election for Huntingdon today a Liberial candidate was returned.
