This Day. The New Zealand Shipping Co. received the following telegram, dated Port Chalmers, from Lord Hervy Phipps, aide-de-camp : — " His Excellency the Governor desires me, through you, to thank the Capt; ins of the New Zealand Company, and the rest of the ships in port, for the manner in which they showed respect for her Majesty's representative, on leaving Lyttelton yesterday afternoon. We had a splendid passage down, and Lady Normanby had a good night."
