SYDNEY.
February 17. A man named Cooper assaulted Mr. Heaton, of the Evening^ News, for an alleged malicious publication. Cooper was arrested, but was discharged. There have been heavy gales for the last two days, but the weather is now fine. There are no further shipping casualties. This Day. A show of wool will be held at the Exhibition. Exhibits will be received up to December. The London Commissioners for the Exhibition suggest that 110,000 feet be allotted to Great Britain, 64,000 to France, and 100,000 to other European countries. It is difficult to find space. The reward for the capture of the Kellys, dead or alive, has been increased to £8,000, this Colony subscribing half. An Outlawry Bill will probably be passed here.
