[from our own correspondent.] LONDON. February 14. At a meeting to-day of the London Committee m connection with the Sydney Exhibition it was stated that the British Admiralty would lend a valuable scientific apparatus for exhibition. It was further announced that France required six thousand metres of space for exhibits. It is stated here that South Australia intends checking immigration. The Lord President m Council declined to reply to a question whether the Government intends sending a physician to Astrakhan to report on the plague. February 15. In the Lords, the President of the Council replied to a question, and said the British Government intend sending a physician to report on the Plague m Russia. The total reserve notes and bullion m the Bank of England is £15,625,000.
