Light head winds Port Chalmers to Lyttelton ; thence to Castle Point, fresh S.E. winds and sea ; remainder of passage light winds and rain. A schooner, supposed to be Griffin, from Napier, was beating up the Bay, as we went to press. The tonnage of vessels m Port Chalmers on Friday last exceeded 24,000 tons. It included eleven ships over 1100 tons eachnine barques of large size, and twelve large steamers.
