London, February 1. McMahon has resigned the Presidency of the French Republic, and M. Grevy, late President of Chamber of Deputies elected to his place. The cause of McMahon's resignation was requiring his dismissal of all officers m the army of anti-Republican notions. The Glasgow Bank trial is concluded. Potter and Stronach were acquitted ; the others were found guilty, sentence deferred till Saturday.
