[From our Special Correspondent.] Melrourne, January 8. The seamen belonging to the ships now m port have struck. They demand £7 per month for the round trip. Fully 150 men already out on strike, and the movement is spreading rapidly. Several ships are now lying idle m port, unable to proceed as there are no hands to work them. The miners m the employ of the Bulli Company, who struck work on the 24th December, because the Directors employed Chinese, and the seamen on board the colfiers owned by the Company, and engaged m their trade, have
intimated their willingness to return to work now that the Sydney anti-Chiheße question has been settled. The company, however, decided to lock out all those miners who belonged to the Union, and joined m the recent strike.
