RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
This Day. (Before Mr. H. Kenrick, R.M., and Captain Gudgeon, R.M.) Robjohns, Teat & Co., v. Hrnarr TOKAMOANA. Claim £46 3s. 10d., on dishonored promissory notes. Mr. Brassey for plaintiffs. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for amount claimed. Evans v. Jones. Claim £1 14s. 3d. Mr. Broomfield for plaintiff. Defendant admitted the amount being due and judgment was recorded against him. Evans v. Donoqhue and Raikiroa. Claim £19 Os. 6d. for goods supplied and cash lent. Mr. Bromfield appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. Robindon for the defendants. This case had been adjourned from last week m order that plaintiff might produce his books. This he did and it was evident the particulars were m everyway correct. His Worship m giving judgment said it was plain that the defendant had obtained the goods and that the evidence of Donoghue was false — so much so m fact that had additional evidence been brought forward other than that of the native "Witness Rakiroa he would have ordered Wn to be taken into custody for perjury. \ Judgment was given for tho full amount claimed with all costs.
