THE CLOSING DAY On Friday the Waverley Ladies’ Golf Club held their closing day in perfect weather. Although the grass on the fairway was long in places ; the greens were in perfect order and a most enjoyable day was spent by the players. In the morning a medal round was "played, Miss T. (Aiken being the winner of the seniors with a 79 net. The next three best scores were Mrs. K. Handley SO, Mrs. K. Honeyficld. 80, and Airs. I. D. Parsons SI. The junior medal round was won by Airs. G. AVatkins with a 75 net, while Airs. AY. P. Wallace with, second with a 78. During the afternoon a Canadian foursome was played over nine holes, Airs. E. C. Dallison and Miss M. Airs. D. T.upton, president, presented thft trophies and congratulated the winners. Airs. P. G. Aiken and Airs. D. Lupton kindly donated a trophy each for the closing day. ANNUAL GENERAL AIEETING The annual general meeting of the Waverley Ladies,’ -Golf Club was held at the clubhouse on Friday afternoon, and the following members were elected to the executive positions.'— President. Airs. K. Handley; captain, Al.iss Thelma Aiken; vice-captain, Airs. J. AVnlkinton; secretary, Airs. E. C. Dallison; L.G.TT. secretary, Airs. It. S Aiken; committee, Airs K. Handley, Miss T. Aiken, Airs. .1. AValkinton, Airs. E. C. Dallison, Airs. TL S. Aiken, Airs. Iloncyfield, and Airs. Gray. A -vote of thanks was passed to the retiring committee. It was decided to draw up a programme for the season next year, and hold competitions every Tuesday for which points will be given. Airs. E. C. Dallison very kindly offered to donate a trophy for the polints competition. ‘
