COMING OF AGE PARTY

MISS NORMA BOURKE HONOURED A'most enjoyable evening was lucid in the Whcuuakura Hall on Friday to celebrate the coming of age of Miss Xormr Bourke, Fatea. Mrs. F. A. Bourke received her guests wearing a smart gown of black matalas.se, and a silver grey fur coatee. The guest of honour looked charming in .n ankle-length frock of cyclamen shot taJlkita, urn do with the new full swing skirt and ofT-tho-shoulder bodice . Miss Betty Bourkei wore a gown of fuchsia silk georgette. A. happy time was spent dancing to music played by Messrs J. Sampson raid M. Fairweather. During the evening a recitation was given by Miss A. Hall, and was very much appreciated. After a delectable supper had been served, Mr, J. Slreiahan congratulated Miss Bourke. on attaining her 21st birthday, and spoke in glowing terms of her popularity in the district. In the absence of Mr. P. A. Bourke, the guest of honour's elder brother, Mr. F. A. Bourke jnr,, presented Miss Xonna with a golden key which was duly autographed by ladl present. A toast to the guest of honour was drunk with full musical honours, after which she thanked everybody if or coming along and helping to make the party so jolly, and thanked especially her parents, for giving her the party, and everybody for the lovely presents. f Paper hats and novelties winre distributed and dancing was continued until the early hours, when the singing of Auld Dang Sync brought a, happy evening to a close.
