NOTES.
Mr. and Mrs. Shepphcrd, Avho hav/e been on holiday during the last few weeks, arc due to arrive home to-day (Friday). Mrs. and Miss Walkinton returned on Wednesday from a Wellington trip. Miss Mathieson, Chester Street, who has been looking forward to a holiday, which will be spent in- Auckland and district, leaves this evening, and Avill be absent from Wavcrley for some -weeks. On- Thursday,the final match for the yroquet singles) was) -played between Mesdames Palmer and Pepper, Mrs. Pepper proving the winner. Tho matches fof 1936 season arc nearing completion, and the usual closing day will shortly be arranged. On Friday Mrs. Nordc, wife of the Eev. Nome, Westmore, -will address a meeting of the members of the P.W.M.U. and friends in St. Andrew’s Hall. On Sunday evening tho service in St. Andrew’s Church will be conducted by. the Rev. Nome. The Eev. E; R. E. Boss Will conduct the harvest thanksgiving service at Westniero on Sunday evening. A very satisfactory consignment of fruit, vegetables,, and -produce was forwarded to tho Wellington Orphansago, on Monday by St. Andrew’s Church committee of management, and thr.ir thanks are -due to all who so generously supported the appeal.
