PATEA-WAITOTARA BABBIT BOARD RATE TO BE BASED ON STOCK. The quarterly meeting of the PatoaWaitotara Rabbit Board at Wanganui on Wednesday received a. report that the Government would make a grant of £SO a month until a rate could be Utruck, The rate will be struck in November and will be payable in March, 1034. It was decided to appoint a working inspector. Discussion arose on whether the rate should be struck on capital value, unimproved value, or per head of stock. It was decided that no change could be made and that the rate would have to be levied as hitherto on the number of stock.
