Ecv. A. W. Smaill, Patea, has been elected Moderator of the Taranaki Presbytery for the current period.

Mr. Boagoy, Papakura, Auckland, is spending a fcAV days with his brother, Mr. H. Boagoy, Patea. Fifty years ago Mr. Boagoy Avas a compositor on the ‘Patea Mail.’

Mr. W. G. Jones, avlio has been seriously ill of late, is at present at Rotorua.

The Rev. J. Common, who has been appointed to succeed tho Rev. C. Aker as minister in charge of the Methodist Church in Patea, arrived yesterday with Mrs. Common, and have taken up their residence at the parsonage.
