WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING OF COMMITTEE,
A meeting of the committee of the Patea Women’s Institute was held on Wednesday evening, Mrs. F. Eamsbottora presiding. Mesdames P. A. Bourkc, A. A. Carey, W. E. Donald, J. D. Adams (hon. secretary), and Misses W. Ivenworthy and W. Hemingway Avere also present. It Avas resolved that the next monthly mooting of the institute be held on May 5 instead of May 0, as the Blanket dance falls on the latter date.
It Avas decided that the president and secretary be delegates to the meeting of 'Taranaki Institutes at Inglewmod on April 29, when a Taranaki Federation will be formed. It was decided to hold a street day on Saturday, April 30, in aid of the institute funds. Later on in the year tw r o flag 500 evenings may be held. A motion of sympathy Avith Mrs. T. A. Prescott in her illness Avas passed, and best wishes Averc extended for her speedy recovery. The meeting then rose.
