PATEA LADIES’ OPENING DAY
The Patea Ladies’ Golf Club held its opening day on Wednesday afternoon in bitterly cold and very windy weather. Despite the adverse conditions, between 20 and 30 players took part in a 13-hole stroke competition. Mrs. W. C. Glcnny proved the winner, with Miss O’Sullivan runnerup. Mrs. C. R. Honeylield presented Mrs. Glenny with a small trophy amid applause.
