FATHER AND MAIDS KILLED
SWEDISH STUDENT’S CRIME
OTHER MURDERS SUSPECTED. A Stockholm girl, returning home was horrified to find murdered her father, Hjabnar Yon Sydow, a noted industrialist, and the head of the employers’ association, and two maid servants, all seemingly battered with a piece of iron piping.
Amazing disclosures arc made regarding the career of the dead man’s son, a student. In addition to him slaying his father, and two servants, he murdered an old farmer, his wife, and sis-ter-in-law at Yarmdo.
He had borrowed money from the farmer and was therefore suspected of murdering them in July, also another old man from whom he borrowed.
Von Sydow is an intellectual but led a wild life and committed suicide dramatically at the end of a champagne and oyster dinner. He was presenting roses to his wife and guests when a detective arrived.
